ABOUT LCCSF

VISION
A community where all children of 19 years of age or less and their families of Lafayette County can reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

MISSION
To provide quality, comprehensive training and services to protect the well-being and safety of children and youth 19 years of age or less and to strengthen families in Lafayette County.

VALUES
Our board’s first priority is to act as a team which is responsible to select educators and service providers and fund such activities to the extent of existing funds.

HOW LCCSF WAS ESTABLISHED
On April 2nd, 2024, the citizens of Lafayette County passed a one-quarter of a cent sales tax measure, which created a Children's Services Fund for children and youth nineteen years of age or less in Lafayette County. The fund is created pursuant to RSMo ss67.1775 and RSMo ss210.861. The funds are awarded to local agencies that provide services and fulfill unmet needs of qualifying children in Lafayette County, Missouri. Our mission is to provide quality, comprehensive training and services to protect the well-being and safety of children and youth 19 years of age or less and to strengthen families in Lafayette County.
LCCSF UPDATE
As of January 1, 2026, two of our longstanding board members have stepped away from their positions on the Lafayette County Children’s Services Fund. Both Denetta Amor and Aaron Dye have served more than eight years each and have held various leadership roles. They were instrumental in helping to increase the sales tax from an eighth of a cent to a quarter of a cent in April of 2024. With the increased resources available the board has been able to have an even greater impact on the children and families of Lafayette County. Their work and commitment while serving on the board has been a key to the success of the Children’s Service Fund.
